The Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development(ai), Professor Fuh Calistus Gentry, received in audience this Wednesday, 18 March 2026, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Cameroon and Central Africa, Raymond TAVARES, accompanied by his delegation.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the UNIDO official to express his appreciation for the warm reception and collaboration he enjoyed throughout his tenure in Cameroon. Marking the end of his assignment, TAVARES also used the occasion to formally bid farewell to the Minister and his team.
Discussions focused on strengthening the ongoing partnership between Cameroon and UNIDO, with emphasis on future collaboration under the Programme for Country Partnership (PCP). The initiative is designed to accelerate Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID) by mobilizing key stakeholders, including governments, financial institutions, and the private sector, to support major projects in agro-industry, green energy, and industrial competitiveness.
The Resident Representative also highlighted upcoming prospects within the framework of the “Partnership Industry Program,” noting that this year’s edition will be held under the theme “Women in Industry Day.”
The audience concluded with a family photo and the presentation of best wishes to Mr. Raymond TAVARES for his future assignments.
