DIGITAL ACCESS TO MINING LAND REGISTER AND GEOLOGICAL INFORMATION
The Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development (MINMIDT) is taking a
significant step forward in the modernisation of Cameroon’s mining cadastre with the
deployment of a digital platform integrated into the Geological and Mining Information System (GMIS). Powered by ArcGIS technology, the platform provides interactive access to mining titles, their geographical boundaries, status and information on title holders.
Accessible remotely, the platform enables investors and mining operators to identify areas
already covered by mining rights as well as available areas, facilitating investment planning and access to reliable cadastral information. It also allows users to access and process cadastral information online, without requiring their physical presence at the Ministry. Furthermore, the platform helps identify potential overlaps between mining titles, protected areas and international borders.
This digital innovation enhances transparency, access to information and the attractiveness of Cameroon’s mining sector, while supporting systematic disclosure in line with EITI
transparency objectives. Training sessions will be organised to facilitate its use. The platform is accessible at : https://minmidt.cm/cadastre/
