MINMIDT Celebrates 41 edition Women’s Day 2026 with Vibrant Culinary Fair
Yaoundé, 4 March 2026 , In celebration of the 41st edition of International Women’s Day under the theme “Rights, Justice, Action. For ALL Women and Girls,” the female staff of the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development (MINMIDT) showcased their culinary skills in a colorful gastronomic fair.
The event, themed “Women’s Culinary Expertise at MINMIDT, Serving Cultural Diversity,” was officially opened by the Minister, Professor FUH Calistus Gentry, who cut the ribbon in the presence of his collaborators.
Guests were treated to a culinary journey across Cameroon, with the buffet featuring dishes from every region of the country. Attendees could sample traditional favorites including eru, okra sauce, sangha, yellow sauce, koko, and freshwater fish ndomba, among others.
Held on the esplanade of the iconic “Immeuble Rose” the fair attracted large crowds and was marked by a festive and lively atmosphere, highlighting the creativity and cultural richness of MINMIDT’s female staff.
The event not only celebrated women’s achievements but also reinforced the importance of cultural diversity and culinary heritage of the country.
