The delegation comprising of experts in sectors such as mining, banking, insurance, infrastructure, water and energy, textiles, and equipment, the delegation was led by Mr ATAM SANDHU, Chief Executive Officer of DMA INVEST. The purpose of their visit was to express their readiness to collaborate with Cameroon and to contribute added value across these various sectors.

In this regard, he highlighted that the favourable legislative framework, strategic geographic location, bilingualism, and vast mineral potential are among the assets that make Cameroon an attractive destination for investors.

The imminent commencement of several large-scale mining projects and the upcoming operationalisation of various deposits in the coming months serve as evidence of the sector’s rapid growth, with an anticipated increased contribution to the national GDP.

The Minister further underscored that the investment-friendly policies instituted by the President of the Republic, H.E. Paul BIYA, are aimed at encouraging foreign direct investment.
It should also be noted that Mr BITCHOKA NKAKE Calvin Achille, Head of the Department for Monitoring, Evaluation and Strategy at the Investment Promotion Agency (API), was present at the meeting.
