The Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development (ai), Professor FUH CALISTUS GENTRY, on Friday, 26 June 2026, inaugurated the new Baker Hughes Cameroon facility in Douala, marking the conclusion of his three-day working visit to the Littoral Region

The day’s activities formed part of the Government’s broader policy to reorganize and restructure the country’s industrial sector. The mission focused on ensuring compliance with industrial regulations, reinforcing product quality standards, enhancing industrial safety, and combating illegal manufacturing activities.

The delegation subsequently visited METAFRIQUE in the Logbaba Industrial Zone, where they conducted a site tour of the company’s facilities and held a working session with management and local authorities.
